Hotel Burnham - An Overlooked Chicago Luxury Hotel

From its modern sleek theme rooms to their wonderful café, the Hotel Burnham is one of those hit or miss hotels. I recently visited this hotel on a business trip. Since this hotel is located in Downtown Chicago, it is close to many fun sights and sounds of the city. This large hotel is considered to be a national landmark to the City of Chicago. This hotel offers wonderful room decorations, however there was a feeling of inactivity to this hotel. The guest services however were wonderful and were able to assist me as much as they can with all of the renovations that were going on in that area. One of things that I did not like about this hotel was that there was no shuttle service to the hotel from the airport.I was forced to reserve a rental car on this business trip. However, if you are able to lose those items, then this hotel is right for you. The rooms were sleek modern with large comfortable beds and with lots of space. The bathrooms were a mixture of old-world, with their wooden countertops, to the new world, with their multiple shower head showers. There was also a flat screen with large selections of channels available. I was able to enjoy the restaurant downstairs.Although, some of the food there was a hit or miss for me. There was even a point that the manager had to come in and correct the problem to make my food correct. The guest service was wonderful and was able to assist me in any need possible. Thanks to quest services I was able to get some sundry items that were needed since I had left them at home. Overall, I would say that this hotel needs a little work. The accommodations are first rate but the management needs to work on the atmosphere and service. If you are looking for a vacation gateway I check the rates and book for the right price. If you are looking for a downtown Chicago hotel, you have come to the right place. If you want to save money, choose a downtown Chicago hotel. You can do a lot of things while you are staying in a downtown Chicago hotel.
