Bangkok Luxury Hotels - Selecting the Right One!

Visitors have something to be happy about while staying in Bangkok: many of Bangkok luxury hotels are some of the most affordable in the world, while maintaining first-class facilities and service. But to find the right one, you have to choose which area you want to stay in. You can select to stay adjacent busy commercial city areas like Sukhumvit, Siam or Silom, or the peaceful Chao Phraya riverside.

Sukhumvit and Siam are great locations for shopping and entertainment. There are many huge contemporary malls, many of which carry high-class designer names, fashion boutiques, great restaurants, and entertainment like cinemas, bars and such. Siam and Sukhumvit are location great for access to Bangkok’s many attractions. Some of the first-class hotels around Sukhumvit include the very contemporary Fraser Suites Sukhumvit, for example. Siam posh hotels include Mystery Hotel Siam Bangkok and others.

Silom is the older central business district of Bangkok. Situated here are many head offices of financial institutions, law firms, banks and corporations. Silom also has some great first-class hotels, like the very luxurious Dusit Thani Bangkok, Centre Point Saladaeng, and many others. But amongst the high-rise buildings are a handful of art and antique shops and some good bars and restaurants. At places like Silom Village, you can find some beautiful hand-crafted local treasures and art pieces.

As the sun sets, Silom transforms into a different place, with its vibrant local street markets on the roadsides. There is also Patpong, which is famous for its crazy nightlife and party places with naughty shows. Sukhumvit and Siam too, have some great areas for a fun night out with many choices to suit your taste.

The banks of Chao Phraya River is one of the most interesting places around Bangkok. Amongst the high-rise buildings, you can see an old tradition of local trading boats floating down the river, as well as some grand temples. The riverside is where some of the city’s most luxurious hotels are situated, with a lot of upscale luxury hotels, like Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and many more.

Nearby the riverside is Sanam Luang, which is the political capital of Bangkok. Here, you can find many historical landmarks and buildings. The area is less affected by contemporary buildings, and goes at a more relaxed pace compared to the busier areas of town. For a truly luxurious time in Bangkok, you can take a cruise down the Chao Phraya River, which offers candle-lit Thai dinners and private parties.
